Get To Know Dr. Yasmina Wright

Dr. Yasmina Wright, better known as Dr. Yas, was born and raised in Philadelphia. She discovered her interest in dentistry when she was in the third grade after she and her mother visited the Springfield mall and encountered an elderly man with missing teeth. Even at this young age, Dr. Yas knew the effect and impact a smile could have. 

She attended Hampton University in Virginia where she received a Bachelors of Science in Biology. Afterward, Dr. Yas earned her Doctorate in Dental Surgery from Howard University College of Dentistry. After practicing General Dentistry for eight years, she decided to go into a Pediatric Dental Residency at NYU Langone Hospitals where she earned an Advanced Training Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry. She was inspired to open her own practice by all the support from her teachers and community growing up, and felt it was time to give back and become a supportive pillar in the city she has always called home

.During her free time, Dr. Yas loves spending time with her daughter Imoni and son Ilijah. They enjoy going to festivals, swimming in lakes, and taking their dog, Tiki, on long walks. Dr. Yas has also been practicing Tae Kwon Do since childhood.

A Nurturing Space for Pediatric Care

As you walk into our office, you’ll be greeted by the smiling faces of our friendly team and the amenities of our welcoming, family-friendly office. You and your child can take advantage of our beverage station and browse through Netflix or Disney+ while you wait for your child’s appointment to begin. We can also answer any insurance-related questions you may have to make your visit as seamless as possible.

After a thorough cleaning by one of our hygienists, you and your child will meet with Dr. Yas and receive a comprehensive oral exam, complete with any necessary x-rays. We spend the extra time to address your concerns and discuss the state of your child’s dental health with you before outlining a unique treatment plan tailored to their needs. Before leaving, we can also schedule any future visits and sign you up for our in-house membership plan.

 Cozy Amenities and Modern Technology

In addition to the latest tools and technology in pediatric dentistry, we have designed our office with you and your child’s comfort in mind. We are equipped with four open hygiene bay chairs, three closed operatories, and one infant exam room. Our amenities also include a beverage station and TVs in the waiting room with Netflix and Disney+.
